In other news that most everyone knew was coming before it happened:
Google is taking another step in their bid to rule the world by releasing a Google Operating System to the masses. The Chrome OS has been rumored in dark corners of the internet, now Google admits that they are going to release the Google OS monster on the world.
From the Google Operating System blog (unofficial news and tips about Google):
"Google's blog announces a natural extension of the Chrome project: an operating system for netbooks. "Google Chrome OS is an open source, lightweight operating system that will initially be targeted at netbooks. Later this year we will open-source its code, and netbooks running Google Chrome OS will be available for consumers in the second half of 2010."
