Skylar Deleon: Death Penalty For Former "Power Rangers Star"? Umm...No

What isn't true about this headline?

Skylar Deleon: Death Penalty For Former "Power Rangers Star"?

It's been all over the WWweb today. So Fileunderi, being former watchers of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers with our then young kids (really) decided to do a little research to see which Power Ranger went bad.

Yeah. Research. Remember that? It's where you surf around a little and check your facts.

Here are the facts:

From Fox News...Orange County Superior Court Judge Frank F. Fasel on Friday imposed the death penalty on 29-year old Skylar Deleon for the killing of Tom and Jackie Hawks of Prescott, Ariz.

Prosecutors say the Long Beach man feigned interest in buying the couple's yacht and killed them during a test cruise in 2004.

Deleon overpowered them on the test cruise, tied them to an anchor and tossed them into the Pacific Ocean as they begged for their lives, according to the prosecution.

After the yacht killings, the prosecution said, Deleon and his then-wife Jennifer Henderson scrubbed the boat clean with bleach wipes in Newport Harbor.

The Hawks' bodies were never found.

Three others also were convicted of related charges.

Deleon was also convicted in the 2003 killing of Jon Jarvi, an Anaheim man he met on a work furlough program...

So the Skylar Deleon and the Death Penalty part is true.

What about the Power Rangers Star?

Ummm...no.

Skylar Deleon appeared in ONE episode as a character named Roger. That is the only credit he has with the Power Rangers. Roger was not a Power Ranger, dammit. He was in ONE Freaking show as ROGER. Who the hell was Roger? NOBODY.

As a matter of fact, that is the only acting credit he has. Period.

So, quit giving my beloved...er...sons' beloved Power Rangers crap. Get your story straight next time.
