The poster child of insanity, Charles Manson, has a new photo that was released by the California Department of Corrections as part of their updating of inmates records. The barely recognizable Charles Manson, save the swastika still visible on his forehead, looks like any other normal 74 year old grandfather. Even the crazy glint in his eyes is gone, don't you think? Yes, Mr. Helter Skelter has definitely hit old age.
For those of you too young to remember and only have Summer of Sam and Charles Berkowitz in your mind as the definition of crazy,or maybe Jeffrey Dahmer or the Unibomber, this guy is THE definition of insane. Had he not been caught quickly...well we will thankfully never know.
In August 1969, Charles Manson sent followers squatting with him at the Spahn Ranch near Chatsworth, California to carry out the murder of actress Sharon Tate and her house guests in Benedict Canyon. The next night he led the pack on a murderous invasion at the home of Leno and Rosemary LaBianca in Los Feliz.
Charles Manson and four others — Susan Atkins, Patricia Krenwinkel, Charles “Tex” Watson and Leslie Van Houten — were convicted of murder and other charges in connection with the two-night rampage that left the pregnant Sharon Tate and seven others dead.
The swastika on the forehead was etched by Charlie himself during the trial.
