Matt Lauer Hit By A Deer (On His Bike!)

Here's one you don't hear very often. Today Show co-host Matt Lauer had a go round with a deer on Long Island over the weekend. That in itself is fairly common, many of us have hit a deer or had a deer hit us while in our vehicle...

But Matt was on his bike.

Apparently he suffered an injury to his shoulder and had to miss the show this morning.

Meredith Vieira, the Today Show co-host, reports that Matt is fine and "his sense of humor is intact". Matt joked in an email that "the deer was hired by the competition."
